Eastern Star Dance Theatre specializes in dramatic interpretations of Middle Eastern dance, encompassing all the sensuality, power, elegance and joy of this ancient art form in styles ranging from traditional to fusion. Artistic Director Jezibell Anat studied, taught and performed for many years in Manhattan before moving to Augusta. The founding members of Eastern Star are Zahara Ahlam, Aria Dantir, Jaden Milan, and Jackie O, and our newest member is Melissa.

Eastern Star made its debut following the Vagina Monologues as part of the V-Day Celebration at the Maxwell Theatre at Augusta State University. They have since performed at the Friedman Library, Belly Bash, Arts Fest, Art in the Park, and The Israel Experience at the Jewish Community. They perform on First Fridays at 7:30 pm at the clock on Broad Street between 9th and 10th, and they will appear this fall at Arts in the Heart, Westobou Festival, and Pagan Pride. .
